Hotel Alert Level 2 and 3 Guidelines
As Auckland moves to Alert Level 3 from midday today (Wednesday 12 August) and the rest of New Zealand to Alert Level 2 following Covid-19 community transmission, accommodation providers must enforce stringent health and safety protocols.
NZHOA is working with the Ministry of Health on latest updates and will keep members informed.
Physical distancing must be maintained.
Under Alert Level 3 people need to stay at home unless for essential personal movement.
Hotel in-house kitchens can continue to operate for room service and contactless delivery or pick-up adhering to all safety procedures.
Visitors to Auckland are able to travel back home, as are Aucklanders who are currently in other parts of the country.
Lockdown restrictions will stay in place for three days until midnight Friday 14 August. If community transmission is widespread, lockdown is likely to be extended with potential to move up levels.
